2011's Biggest and Best in January

The gaming industry is just like any other entertainment industry. It has its ups and downs and its good years and bad years. Some years you've got a crappy lineup of mediocre games with a few pieces of goodness sprinkled into its depths. And then you've got the good years where you've got an explosive lineup of games that's a surefire guarantee to turn any gamer into drooling maniacs. 2011 looks to be on of those years and we'll be starting out these features with the games of January.

DC Universe Online (PC/PS3)

It seems as if there's been a trend of superpowered MMO's in the past few years: City of Heroes, City of Villians, Champions Online, etc... But DC Universe Online hopes to change all that starting with giving MMO players a glimpse of the DC comic universe, populated by the likes of Superman, Batman and the Joker. The concept is similar and simple. Create a superhero, picks some superpowers and then choose a mentor. Those mentors are the heroes and the villians of the DC universe and they decided what area you explore and what missions you do in the lower levels of the game.

LittleBigPlanet 2 (PS3)

LittleBigPlanet was one of 2008's best PS3 exclusives; a game where users could create ingame levels to share online. It sounded a bit sketchy at first, but when it first fell into the hands of the consumers, suddenly the PS3 wasn't a dumping ground for poorly-made Xbox ripoffs. In short, LBP ushered a new era of awesome PS3 exlcusives.

Not only does LittleBigPlanet 2 add more of the same winning formula of its predeccesor, it adds a lot more features and tools to that formula allowing players to create inovative remakes of popular games and even 3D adventures.
